Freehold Theatre Lab/Studio (Robin Lynn Smith)

Are you an actor who is looking to take the next step in your path to treading the boards in the bigger venues, but don't know where to start? Are you a playwright, or a creative who is looking for a safe space in which to experiment or grow your art? Are you a stage actor who is considering filmmaking? Well, then the Freehold Theatre Lab / Studio is for you!!

In this episode of Get to Know a Theatre, Robin Lynn Smith, co-founder and Artistic Partner at Freehold Theatre Lab / Studio took some time to sit and talk with us about her organization's history and mission. Freehold students and instructors are the thread that weaves through the Seattle theatre scene and the experimentation, freedom of creation, inclusiveness, and educational opportunities that Freehold provides are unique and second to none.

Robin told us how actors or creatives can utilize the resources that Freehold has to offer in order to take the next step toward either a professional theatre career, or just improve their craft. We also discussed the great work they're doing with the community as part of their Engaged Theatre program, as well as their newly created MFA program for acting, producing, and filmmaking.
